Appointment Procedures
Patients are normally seen by appointment only. We request that you notify our office promptly if you are unable to keep your appointment. We also ask that you be prompt for your appointment and allow enough time at each visit to update information.
Scheduling Your Surgery
The Patient Support Department will help you in arranging your surgery. A Benefits’ Specialist will verify your insurance and clarify your financial responsibility and method of payment. A payment plan can be set up through a financial counselor if necessary. CCS surgeons operate at all Greensboro hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
Insurance & Payment Policy
We accept most insurance plans. We will assist in filing insurance, but your insurance is a contract between you and the insurance company. It is essential that you check on your insurance benefits. If you are unsure about your coverage, please contact the insurance company prior to your visit with us. Certain procedures may not be covered by insurance. For these procedures, we request that you sign a waiver in the event your insurance company refuses to pay. You are responsible for the charges regardless of reimbursement from your insurance company. Payment of deductible, co-insurance, and co-payment is expected at the time of service. You should obtain referrals prior to your office visit if they are required by your insurance company. Visa, Mastercard, and personal checks are accepted. Please note that when you have surgery, separate bills will be sent by the Operating Room facility, Pathology, Radiology, and Anesthesiology Services. Questions regarding their fees should be addressed to the provider of each of these services.
Prescription Refills
In most cases, prescriptions are not refilled during non-office hours. Please request refills through your pharmacy. They will contact our office via fax or electronically for refill requests.
Disability Forms
We are diligent to process forms accurately and completely so that payment to the patient is not delayed. A minimum of 3 business days is required to process forms. The signature of the physician is required.
Please hand deliver your forms to our office, or have them faxed (336-387-8200). DO NOT GIVE ANY FORMS TO YOUR DOCTOR.
There is a $20 fee for processing all forms, including requests for office notes for continuation of benefits. To maintain your confidentiality we do not verify insurance information over the phone.
